"It is our
pledge this Summer and through the Fall to put the light on the Blight
in the City of New London. We have a wonderful community and a
neighborhood that can be inviting and beautiful. It is time to get rid
of the "attractive nuisances" which are a danger to our children, left
by the slum landlords that do not live here and who are ripping money
off, effecting the value of our property, by their continued abuse to
our neighborhood." Lets make these people responsible: Our City
leadership needs to insure the laws on the books are in-forced. New laws
need to be developed. A punishment TAX for blight. A reasonable time to
do clean up 60 to 90 days: Take back property undeveloped. Speak out,
let them hear the poor voice. Make our voice powerful... Get
involved... May God bless you in your community work, make the place
safe for our children...
